Molecular Biology
Our Molecular Biology Team consists of 4 members and includes Doctoral and Masters graduates from the Biochemistry, Genetics and Internal Medicine fields.
This department is geared for high capacity with robotic instruments for DNA extractions and liquid handling / PCR setup. This workflow is complemented by numerous conventional and real-time thermal cyclers, ELISA plate readers and microarray readers.
Nearly 1 500 samples can be processed on a monthly basis on a single shift system.
The key focus of the Molecular Biology Department is diagnostics of food, the environment, plants and animals. This department accepts samples from:
- Veterinarians
- Crop Farmers
- Wastewater Treatment Works
- Water Quality Assessors
- Seed Producers
- Retail and other Food Processors with non-GMO claims
